Buddy

A family from Portland is coming over tonight to play with Buddy and possibly take him home.  I will update the blog when I know more.

Calisee and I took the big girls and Buddy out today for a little walk.  Calisee got the tummy bug and we have been on the couch yesterday and today.  She is starting to feel better so I thought we all could use some fresh air.  Buddy was so excited to go and play!

  Here......He......Comes!!!!

Keeping up with the big girls!

Buddy is ready for his new furever home!

Buddy turned 13 weeks old last Sunday.  He is such a fun puppy and is learning his manners well.
He is ready for his new furever home.

Here is a little background on Buddy:

Normally our pups go home at 8 weeks.  As for Buddy he got to stay with us a little longer.
When he was a couple weeks old he ended up with pink eye from my son. YES....humans can give dogs pink eye!  This has been a learning experience for us :(   We treated buddy with eye drops from the vet and the infection went away quickly but ultimately we had to have staples put in his eye lids to keep them from rolling in on the bottom.  Because Buddy was so young when he got the infection his eye lids swelled and ended up rolling in, when they rolled in, his eye lashes rubbed his eye and more swelling occurred.  The stitches were placed a little over 3 weeks ago and we thought they would dissolve in 2-3 weeks.  I spoke with our vet again (we have seen our vet almost 2 times a week for around 2 months) and she said that if he is happy and healthy and his eyes look good it will take longer for the stitches to dissolve.  We do not want to remove the stitches, they need to dissolve on their own and could take another 3 weeks. The vet said this should NOT discourage us from finding a home for him.

So now we are looking for a sweet family for Buddy to go and become a wonderful part of!
